Victoria Bacon Obituary

Victoria Flora Bacon, of Ferndale, Washington, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011. She was 98 years old. Vicky came from a hardworking farming family and couldn't believe people would ever want to retire. She worked at Georgia Pacific for many years then worked and volunteered at the Bellingham and Ferndale Senior Centers. She liked to work in her vegetable and flower gardens, and enjoyed Hesselgrave road trips to Eastern Washington and to the horse races in Canada. Vicky will be greatly missed by her children: Bob (Mary Lou) Kirkham and his children Diane, Jerry, and Carol Kirkham; and Penny Phelps. Memorial contributions may be made in Vicky's name to Evergreen Community Church, 6899 Enterprise Rd., Ferndale, WA 98247. A Graveside Service will be held in Vicky's honor, Monday, May 23, 2011, at 2:30 PM, followed by a reception, at Moles Greenacres Memorial Park, Axton & Northwest, Ferndale.
