Willam M. Jolley, age 83, died on May 29, 2011 in Bellingham. He was born February 15, 1928 in Bellingham to John Jay and Cicily (McDougall) Jolley. Bill was a lifetime resident of Bellingham. He attended Assumption School, Whatcom Middle School and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1946. He attended Washington State University where he belonged to Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and was a lifetime member of the WSU Alumni Association. He left WSU to serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bill returned to Bellingham where he met and married Dorothy Hughes in 1956. He worked for 44 years at Bellingham Stevedoring. He was a member of the Church of the Assumption, American Legion, Bellingham Yacht Club and the Bellingham Golf & Country Club. Bill was preceded in death by his brother Jack Jolley of Bellevue,WA. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy, daughters Amy Jolley of Seattle and Sarah (Michael) Dinger of Anchorage, AK, sons Will Jolley of Los Angeles, CA and Brian (Keri) Jolley of Providence, RI, grandsons Aaron, Cody and Casey Dinger, granddaughter Orla Jolley, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorials may be made to the St. Luke's Foundation, 800 E Chestnut St # 1B, Bellingham, WA 98225. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption on Saturday, June 4th at 10:30 AM followed by a reception at the Church. Graveside committal with military honors will be held at Bayview City Cemetery on Monday, June 6th at 10 AM.
