Pam, Steve, Karen, and David: Sorry for your loss. Our family will always remember the fun times we had at your house. Mr Basinski always took the time to play and be involved in what we did. I will always credit him with helping to get Jim and I as well as the rest of my siblings into organized sports. For all those things we are grateful.

Mr. Basinski was my principal at stearns school and he was the best! loved our lunch kickball games. My thoughts and prayers go out to all his family and friends, he will be missed

Basinski Family, My tohughts and prayers go out to your family. I owe so much to Mr B. He was the first person who took time to coach and teach me how to be a goalie. He was always very kind and patient as a coach and even more as a friend. Everyone whos life he touched lost a role model and a friend. I know that I have. God Bless

Mrs. Basinski & Family,
We're very sorry for your loss. It was our privilege to know 'Mr. B" as prgincipal at Allendale School during the best years of our daughters' education. We'll always remember him in a jump-suit landing by helicopter on the playground at Allendale! He put the "pal" in princiipal and inspired so many students. God grant you all peace of heart.

Mrs.Basinski, Dave, Steve, and Karen, I am heart broken to read about Ed's passing. I wish there is something that I could write to ease your pain. My memories of him include many laughs, and good times with all of you. He was an excellent coach,and a real cool guy.

Mr. B was the best - we knew him as the principal of Allendale School. Always kind, compassionate, and caring toward the children and parents. We went through some tough times with our son's illness, and he helped us cope with the challenges. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Family of Mr. Basinski,
My friend from Highland just shared with me Mr. Basinski's passing. I have such fond memories of Mr. B. He was my 5th grade teacher at Highland (77-78). He was so kind, gentle and an amazing teacher. I remember on the last day of school before Christmas break I left my favorite stuffed animal in class. I was beside myself. My grandmother called the school and Mr. B was kind enough to bring it by to my house.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please know that he made an impact on many students! To this day, I still have my 5th grade class picture :o)

Dear Pam & Family: Words cannot fully express our heartfelt sympathy to all of you. We will miss seeing Ed in the yard at Falmouth. He was always doing something and yet had time to enjoy clamming, rollerblading, biking and much more. Once a teacher, always a teacher and he certainly taught the best "Lesson in Life". Our deepest sympathy to the Basinski family. Mr. B was my principle at Allendale School. I remember my teacher sending me to his office to show him a test that I got a 100% on and he gave me a gold star sticker for it. That was 25 years ago. What a great and personal memory I'll always have.

I can't even begin to express the sense of loss that is being felt by me and so many who have had both personal and professional closeness to Ed. Colleague at Highland, mentor during my short stint in administration, and neighbor and friend on Fort Hill Avenue. He was always there to be a friend when you needed him. My 3 children were students at Allendale Elementary School during your tenure. I am honored to have known you. You were always there to listen to our concerns as parents, and always there for our little ones. They are grown now, with lives of their own......but I know they will never forget you. To the Basinski Family, I was very saddened to hear of the passing of the famous Mr. B. I can say he was one of the few teachers that made an impact in my life. I had Mr. B at Highland School. I still remember him teaching us our state capitals and making it so much fun. I can still see his smiling and kind face even now 27 years later. My condolences to the Basinski family at this difficult time.

Mrs Basinski and Family, my sincere sympathy in the loss of your husband, father,and grandfather. He was a fantastic person who was loved by many. He was my teacher at Mercer Elementary School and when asked by my children who my favorite teacher was, my reply was always "Mr. B"! Even 41 years later. Mr. B, we love you and will miss you. This world has lost a wonderful person.

Ed was principal at Stearns many moons ago when I was a student there. He was the best educator I ever had by a long shot. I laugh to myself as I recall Mr. B's (Ed) genius that brought silence to a whole school..."WHISPER DAY". Mr. B gave the quietest class ice cream. Great way to silence a bunch of obnoxious kids like myself. Little did I know I'd become friends with Ed and his family later on in life. He was one of the good ones and will be missed greatly.

Mr. B, which is what I will always remember him as, was my principal at Allendale Elementary as a kid. Out of all the educators I have seen over the past 27 years, he was honestly the most caring and involved of them all. I will never forget the day he came to school dressed as Captain Planet for an assembly, telling us all that we each had the potential to change the world. Such sad news to hear of his passing but if anything, I hope the family knows that almost 20 years later there are many students out there who still remember the great impact he had.
