It has been a long time since we've spoken. So it was just today that we learned of George's passing. We shared, I believe, the part of the musical periphery of his life as, in a sense, "secret sharers," always supported by him through many, many years. It will not surprise those of you who knew him that George was a voice of sanity and reason for this frequently itinerant musical duo. He was, ha, ha, always very direct, always asking the right questions. And I suppose it MIGHT surprise some of you to learn that we were very close to George for many years, two musicians who were NOT part of a school or organization, two musicians in the world. He was a dear friend and today, belatedly, we mourn his passing. Lynne Jackson & Mike Palter
