We were very fortunate to have known Carl Gordon. My son entered the Masons and Carl mentored him as he did so many young people.
He was a good friend and became part of our extended family. Carl would visit with us at our traditional Christmas Eve party every year. He was always interested and also concerned for the well being of all in our family..
Carl battled his infirmities and was determined to be at peace in his beloved family home.
He will be sorely missed. God bless you Carl.

Carl was our first landlord on Chestnut St, 1968-69, and he was responsible for my husband being a member of Norfolk Lodge all these years even though he has never been active. It had been over 40 years when I read in the the newsletter that he had been ill and would appreciate cards and calls. After the very first card he called and we have kept in touch since. Paul and I are sorry to hear of his passing but feel that we were blessed by our renewed friendship. We send our heartfelt condolences to his family and his Lodge family as well.

Bill, Amy and Richard -
I am so saddened to learn that Carl passed away. He and my husband grew up together and remained in touch until my husband passed away in August,2007. He always spoke so highly of Carl and their friendship over the years. Not knowing that my husband passed away,Carl sent a Christmas card at which time I found his number in my husband's cell phone and starting calling every few months to stay in touch and check on him. When his phone just kept ringing in the last few days and his answering machine did not pick up, I realized something must be wrong and I started searching for news in Needham....but I truly did not think that I would find that he had passed away. He was such a nice man and always so pleasant to talk with. I will greatly miss our calls and discussions of my southern weather versus his cold weather up North. I will surely miss our conversations but I know that he is at peace and now healthy again and probably he and Dave are having a terrific conversation just about now.

Carl was an unbelievable friend to so many.
As I think of him I can not help but think of all the masonic achievements of his DeMoly boys in Norfolk Lodge.
