Dear Schubert Family,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It was wonderful to read about Mr. Schubert's contributions. I did not realize that he went to Harvard or that he served in the Navy. I pray that each of your cherish the memories that you and your family have created.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Margie Clifford

All of us at MassHighway were privileged to work with Lyle for the ten years before his retirment. I loved to go to his concerts and his love of Gilbert and Sullivan was so evident, when I saw him play in the orchestra in Sudbury.I had lost my Gilbert and Sullivan music book over the years and one day Lyle brought in his and lent it to me. It was the same edition as mine and when he retired he told me to keep it. I treasure it. Lyle was a great gentleman and I did not know how extensive his life had been.
We missed him when he retired. I missed the classical music in the Projects section on Friday. (Lyle's day for the radio)
I am so sorry for your loss.
With sympathy

To the Schubert Family,
Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your husband, father and friend.
As I was reading through the story of Lyle's life; I never realized the extent of his involvement with both family and community.
It's unfortunate that we often learn of one's contributions after they have passed. One thing is certain...Lyle's past contributions will have a lasting affect!
Again my deepest condolences.

I am so sorry. You have my deepest condolences. I was in the 567 AF BAND with Lyle. He was one of my best best freinds in the band. We always had lunch together on drills.
A real fine musician!

Lyle was a really great man. I will always have wonderful memories of him in his bow tie and suspenders. It is comforting to know he is Home.
May God Bless the Schubert family.

One of my best memories was being able to sing while Lyle played so magnificently with the Granite State Stompers.
