ROSATO, Alexander P. 86, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, peacefully, at his home in Carlisle, MA. He leaves his wife, Barbara Ann (Sampson) Rosato of 61 years, and his 5 children, Linda Aldrich, David Rosato, Deborah Towne, Joanna Dyment, and Daniel Rosato and their spouses Mark Spencer, Lynn Chiafullo, Howard Towne, Scott Dyment, and Erika Rosato, his sisters Angie Miola, 96, Fran Coscia, 95, and Frank Rosato (deceased) and Civitina Albano (deceased), and his 13 grandchildren, Sandy Kopp, Tammy Declements, Pamela and Laura Rosato, Jennifer, David, Colleen, and Emily Carrigg, Michelle and Jessica Dyment, and William, Benjamin, and John Rosato, and his 3 great grandchildren, Canon Kopp, and Tori and Tatum Declements. Born in Somerville, MA, son of Pasquale and Maria, raised by his father and Tina Salapanti Rosato. Al grew up in Somerville, graduated from Somerville High School, Suffolk University, and Northeastern University. Al, a veteran, served in the Army as a photographer in WWII. Al worked for Raytheon for 20 years and he became self employed at Copy and Print which was renamed to Astra Graphics located in Burlington, MA. Continuing to be an entrepreneur, he then co-owned Bedford Research at the end of his career when he retired. Al had a fulfilled life with his large family and he traveled with Barbara around the country in an RV and with their beloved dog, Larry, during their retirement. Al was actively involved in his Christian faith while raising his family and he leaves this earth to be with The Lord. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, April 21 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON from 3pm to 6pm, and a celebration of his eternal life will be held Monday, April 22 at Grace Chapel, 59 Worthen Rd., Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment with veterans honors at Green Cemetery in Carlisle. I will miss my grandfather very much but I take comfort in the fact that he is resting peacefully. I have so many memories of him coming to visit me. He will be greatly missed. Love your granddaughter, Tammy.

Mr. Rosato was a sincerely nice man, a great father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, husband; and always nice to me when he visited Linda at work.
