RICHARD HAROLD ALDERMAN

ALDERMAN, Richard Harold 84, died on June 8, 2013 in Boston MA, after a long illness. Services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon St., Brookline, on Thursday, June 13 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Mohliver Cemetery, 776 Baker St., W. Roxbury. Richard, son of the late Dr. Irving and Frances Alderman, was born and raised in New Haven, CT. He graduated from Yale University in 1951, and worked as an internal auditor for major retailers. Richard and his wife Cynthia raised their two children in New Providence, NJ, where they lived for 37 years. An avid baseball (Indians), basketball (Knicks), and football (Giants) fan, Richard was also a trophy-winning doubles tennis player. He was predeceased by his brother Dr. Melville Alderman; sister Naomi Winer and her husband Dr. Paul Winer; and niece Judy Sizer. He is survived by his son Douglas Alderman, daughter Tina Alderman & her wife Dr. Laura Eliseo; granddaughter Gemma Eliseo; former wife Cynthia Alderman; sister-in-law Beatrice Alderman; nephews Dr. James Alderman & John Winer; nieces Nancy Cerda & Jane Alderman; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.
