I can’t believe it will be six years, my beloved ‘dad’.
You were the light in my life. You taught me how to excel at eBay and I flourished under your guidance.
I know you are still watching over me in Heaven and always will be. Your loss devastated me. When Rosalie called, my hair fell out overnight.
Thank you for taking care of all my medical bills. Thank you for sending food from the finest places in the country. I still use the grill you bought me.
Rest in eternal peace and know that I look at you daily in your special marble.
Your famous line”I’d rather kids shoot marbles than drugs up their veins” is so true today.
I will always love you.

I met Bertram (of blessed memory) many years ago when I was friends with his son Arnie. I attended the post wedding party of Roselie and Bertram. What a lovely kind man.
I loved looking at his collection (gifting a puny one of my own to his collection)- my favourite were his books and stamps.
I will always remember his lovely home and his generousity.

Bert,
I will always have the warmest and loving memories of our friendship. They have become even brighter than they were on the days they were created. Memories of your friendship continues to be a true and lasting gift. I miss those crazy days when you and I would drive from Marlborough Street, Boston out to a remote town in upper New York State to visit an old timer who had an amazing collection of early gigantic peppermints, Indians and colored sulfides.
Most important, we had the best 12 hours of one on one drive time filled with sharing personal stories and learning a lot about each other's lives. We discovered how much we had in common. It was a fun and emotionally rich experience.
Bert, I learned so much about life and living from you for which I am eternally grateful.
Love,
Jim

Bert and I have been friends since high school days in Boston in the 1940s. I believe Bert had to move out west due to allergies, and we lost contact. But in 1985 at the 350th anniversary celebration of the Boston Latin School we met again, and that was the beginning of a cherished adult friendship. All who knew Bert knew his generosity of spirit, his outgoing nature, his sense of joy, and felt his infectious presence. Bert lit up the room. Bert and Rosalie were particularly helpful to us when my mother passed away in Boston in the year 2000. They helped get us through a difficult time, worsened by severe winter weather, but lightened by their extended hands. Bert was, in a word, the essence of a "mensch", a true gentleman whose memory will be a blessing to all whose lives he touched.

Dear Rosalie and family...Bert was such a wonderful and caring person. On many occasions I would get a phone call, and there was Bert! At the hospital, a friend's....Bert would hear about it and call. Or the emails w/the capital and bold letters! I will save them !
Bert was a treasured man who touched thousands of lives. Nobody owns a marble who doesn't know the man or the legend. I will miss him terribly. Bert will live in infamy.
He was bigger than life to many. God Bless Bert Cohen, and his family!
