Remembering the spirit and remembering the man Kenneth Thompson as we come up on the anniversary of his passing. In May of 2018, Ken received a post humous Historic Preservation Award for his legacy of protecting the architectural and historical heritage of Watertown where he was the Building Commissioner for 12 years. The celebration of Ken's award was also reported in the Annual Report that year too. His legacy lives on to this day, and I took some time to honor his spirit when this reminder came through this morning.

Daddy, this still seems so unreal to me. I like to visit this page often as I can tell how special you were to so many. I miss our talks more than you would ever know. However, you continue to "do your job" as my Dad. To everyone that has reached out, left a message.....thanks!

To Ken's family - I was a Watertown resident until 2014 and was very sad to hear the sad news of his passing. Ken helped me with different permits for construction on my condo and always offered his opinion with a smile and joke. If it was not for his help and guidance, I would not have been able to finally sell my condo. I will never forget his willingness to help me.
May he rest in peace.

I am so sad to hear of your passing Ken. We became very close friends over the past several years and I will forever cherish that. You were a man of incredible integrity, kindness, humor, charisma and just a great person in general. You were always proud of your country, your heritage and most of all your family and lovely wife, Linda who you always spoke about like she was your soul mate and love of your life. I will truly miss you Ken and will NEVER forget our friendship. Buy American, I'll always remember you whenever I purchase ANYTHING!
I will miss you my friend,
Rest in Peace
Mike
To Kens family, he always spoke VERY highly of all of you including his grandchildren. I always enjoyed our lunches together and when he gave me a hard time inspecting my projects. We joked and respected each other in a way that is not common in our industry. You were very lucky to have shared his life and I am deeply sorry and sad for your loss.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. As in life, as much as we are saddened, Ken would want us to celebrate his life, and to laugh and joke,as we remember him, what started as a business relationship turned into a long friendship with ken and members of his family, he will be greatly missed

Uncle Kenny, we have lost touch over the years, but I always knew that you were holding a good thought for me. I always know that you and Aunt Linda had my back. You made that promise wh I was born and I never felt you would ever go back on that.
Thank you for always being a positive influence in my younger years. Thank you for being an awesome Godfather. Thank you for being... YOU.
To Aunt Linda, Matt and Joanne, I am saddened at the passing of Uncle Kenny. May the knowledge that he has transitioned to a better place comfort you during this challenging time.
Remember, death is not the end, but merely a transition.

Ken's family, my sincere sympathies. Ken was a true and very helpful friend. He was a friend that made you feel better just by his being there. He lit up a room with his quick wit and humor. The world is not as bright a place without Ken in it but I consider myself blessed to have called him my friend for 12+ years working together in Watertown. RIP and thank you, Big Man...you will not be forgotten. Circle the wagons!

It was a great honor to work with Ken, and such a privilege to have been supported by him whenever he was needed, which has been often. He shared his brilliance with us all everyday! I am grateful I took the time and care to let him know how much his support and generosity with his time had meant to me in a very recent email at work. I send so much light and love to his beautiful family who meant so much to him. Rest in peace Ken. Thank you for being a true blessing that will be with us forever! Susan C. Jennes
