COUGHLIN, John F. "Jack" 84, Of Norwood, Sun. Dec. 14. Born in Norwood, graduate of Norwood High School, Class of 1948 and of Harvard University and Harvard Law School; Korean War Veteran, United States Air Force; retired as Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Federal Employees' Compensation Act, Boston. He was the son of the late Frank B. and Anna I. (Morris) Coughlin of Norwood. He is survived and remembered by Shirley A. (Conner), his wife of 60 years. He was the father of the late John F. Coughlin, Jr., and is survived and remembered by his children Frank Coughlin, Brian Coughlin, James Coughlin, Jane Coughlin and Joan Coughlin, by his sister, Anne M. Berkland, of Westwood, by his five grandchildren and by his nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the American Cancer Society. Funeral Thursday, Dec. 18 from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD, at 10:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington St. Norwood at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow the Mass in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9-10:30 am at the funeral home, relatives and friends kindly invited.
