RICHARD LONG

1977 - 2015

Long, Richard Died suddenly on March 31. Beloved son of Clyde Skeet and Jennifer Long, Richard was born in Boston, MA in 1977. The eldest son, he shared strong bonds with siblings Leah, Veronique, Crystal and Kenny. Richard spent his early years in New York, then returned to Boston where he completed his education. After graduating from high school Richard became a journeyman of the Local 7 Iron Workers. Richard was a devoted father of Kaya, Richard Kahlil, Kanei, Omari, Lakhari and bonus daughters Kashawnii and Jaida. His children were his joy and he took every opportunity to spend time with them, never hesitating to hug them and express his love. Richard made people feel special. His smile could light up any room. He was a big man with an even bigger heart, always willing to lend a helping hand. There are no words to express how much he will be missed. He leaves to mourn his parents, siblings, children, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews and a host close friends too numerous to name. May he rest in eternal peace. A wake will be held Monday April 6 from 6-8 at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 73 Columbia Rd, Dorchester, MA. The Funeral will be Tuesday April 7 at 10 a.m. St. Marks Episcopal Church, 73 Columbia Rd, Dorchester, MA. Interment: Oak Lawn Cemetery, 427 Cummins Hwy, Roslindale, MA.
