Steve aka "Papa Lorch" will be greatly missed. I'd like to write that he was a true renaissance man however truth be told, he was so much more. He was a great family man, philosopher, lover of art, writer, truth, mentor and friend.

I first got to know Steve when he taught a course on Boolean logic. Our paths kept crossing in the early days of the computer industry and we became good friends. I greatly admired Steve as a very enthusiastic and upbeat person.
Sorry to see him go.

Steve was instrumental in helping me build a darkroom as I began working in photography. I still use that equipment today.
