I wish to express my sincere sympathy to the Folger family. I met Ed in college (SUNY Buffalo). He was a talented musician and gentleman. I always enjoyed the opportunity to say hello to him at the Fantasy Island Festival. He was an outstanding band director. Music was his passion but his sons were his inspiration.

Ed you will be missed by Vincent and Joseph for all the fun they had hanging out with your boys and the cook outs in your yard. I will miss you very much , Chet , Debbie and all the Folger family it was an honor to be able to work on music with Ed for the last ten years of some of the most mind bending finger busting music that he came up with. Ed was one of the biggest influences in my life and my son Vincents life even for the short time he got to jam with him. Rest in peace my friend. T.V. Lema

To the entire Folger family, I would like to extend the deepest sympathy for your loss. I have not scene Ed in over 30 years. I met him in band at CCHS and became a fan of his wonderful talent. I was saddened to see the news of his passing. It is obvious he took his gift and shared it with many teaching as well as playing. RIP Eddie

Dear Family,
We played with your father, Ed, for years in our commercial band, Popourie and knew him well before he was married and had his family. Ed was a terrific human being and a great musician. His drumming added so much to our band. We were so happy that he became a good teacher and great dad too. We are so sorry that we did not know of his illness, so that we could visit him. God bless Ed in heaven, and all of his friends and family.

Mr. Folger was a wonderful man who helped my children learn music and taught them the discipline they needed. My daughter still plays oboe six years later. He also guided me in encouraging one of my children to continue to play in Middle School though she did not want to. Everytime I called him he was there and helpful. He will be missed. My heart and prayers go to Mr. Folger's family.

Mr. Folger was my music teacher at Potters Road, and I also took private drum lessons with him later on. He was always enthusiastic about lessons. You could really tell he loved teaching music and seeing his students progress. I recently saw him a few times at a local music shop I was working at. He came in with his two sons and purchased some recording equipment. I could really tell he wanted to see them happy and grow as musicians as well. Knowing how talented their father was, you can bet they will have a bright future. My heart goes out to his family.
