Gertrude MUSIAL Obituary

MUSIAL - Gertrude P. (nee Villforth) January 9, 2014, beloved wife of 63 years to the late Eugene Musial; loving mother of Hildegarde (Donald) Berdine and Cora Musial; grandmother "Oma" of Jeanette and Melissa Berdine; sister of the late Theodore Villforth; also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. The family will be present on Saturday January 18 from 9-10 AM, followed by a memorial service at 10 AM at Crossroads Lutheran Church, 4640 Main St., Amherst, where Gertrude was a member for over 50 years. Gertrude worked in retail for many years including owning and managing the Buffalo Book Store in Amherst and Lockport. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Betsy Ross-Levant Chapter and the UB Women's Club. Special thanks to Debbie and Sammy Tartick, Ruth Bosch, Allene Wilcox and the staff at Heathwood Assisted Living and Elderwood at Lancaster for their loving care. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Lutheran Church, Elderwood at Lancaster Resident Council Trust Account or Heathwood Assisted Living. Dear Cora and Hildy and Family, I am so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing but have so many wonderful memories of the good times we had together, especially when you kids were young, all the shows, school events, etc. She was a very gracious person and loved life.
