I have a memory of Louise dating back to the early 80's when I was in high school. I was over at the house on North Forest visiting her son, Simon (Ken) and Louise blew through the door saying "I made it home!". When we asked her if there was a problem she said "Definitely. I was almost out of gas so I had to drive faster to get home before I ran out of gas." Irv was there and said "I don't think that's how it works" and we laughed about it. She was a kind soul that was so supportive and loving to everyone. I felt very at home when I was there and have fond memories of Irv and Louise from that time in my life.

Dear Irv and Simon,
Our hearts go out to you. We have many lovely memories of the Minks- Irv's paintings are in our home still- Simon became a friend in LA- and Louise- Louise was a giver. She spent many hours volunteering as House Manager at our theatre, The Playhouse. She was so supportive and kind. I haven't seen her in years, but this brings back a flood of memories of the lovely person she was and I feel very, very sad to hear of your loss.
