I remember Phil dropping by to chat with my folks about duck hunting and such like including the story about my sister plucking the ducks Phil had let hang a bit too long and then trading them with my fathers good ducks to be sure she got her money. We have laughed about that over the years.

I also remember Phil and Louise coming to our island home in Norway twice, once with a bandaged head after falling in the shower in Oslo!

We have had a lot of great times as did my mom and dad did. too...including those pumpkin growing contest festivities up at your place and such.
A curious, lively friend who helped many people though his career and life. We miss him.

Hi Louise -

I just wanted to say how sorry I was to read about Phil's passing and his challenge with Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's is such a devastating disease.

Phil was a good friend of my folks - Max and Ruth Reader. He was also the lawyer who represented Craig and I (for free) on the closing of our first home.

I look at his picture and remember his smile and his jokes!

He will always hold a special place in our hearts.

fondly - Lynn (Reader) Russell

Louise, Steven, Robert and the extended Kolvoord Family, my thoughts are with you ... remembering Phil 'talked his way' onto a cruise ship in Bermuda because even though a non-passenger, he wanted "to check it out!" Eternal cribbage, anyone? Bill Willey
