Family and friends will meet at St. John's Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. PLEASE NO FLOWERS, donations may be made to St. John's Catholic Church or the House of Loreto.

We remember your Dad from grade school to carpooling to Kent State. Always aware of others and a great listener. He always wanted to own a funeral home and his dreams came true!!He will always hold special memories of Paul!

PJ, I am so sorry to hear of your dad's death. He was so wonderful to us when our dad (his cousin) died in 1969 and when our mom died in 2002, (as were you!)Know that the Lamiells who have long since left Canton are thinking of you, Stephen and your families.

Dearest PJ and Family,
May our Lord wrap his loving arms around you and your entire family during this difficult time. Steve and I will never forget how amazing it was to have family like your dad and yourself to help us through when we sent Joan on her way to her heavenly Father. Paul will join her there now and we have the comfort of knowing we will see them again. For the grads of Lehman High in ’57, Tall Paul was a tower of a man. Even in school years, he had a calm, reasoning mind, he had a proper balance between desire and restraint, he had an amiable wit and a warm smile. Paul exuded empathy. We all knew that we could confide in Paul, and come away understood, accepted, and at peace. Even though it was hard for us in younger years to see, Paul’s choice of careers was divinely struck. In the profession that he chose, there could have been none better suited for it than Paul; and for Paul, there could have been no better way to serve his fellow sojourners.

The Summer of l961 Paul, Dennis, Mary Louise and I everyday drove from Canton to Kent for classes. This our last jouney had begun in grade school and left a lasting imprint on each of us. We talked about our goals and dreams. Paul had early a few lifecyle changes but his strength of faith, love of his chosen occupation, and the blessing of his children and grandchildren had to make his life complete. He has and always be in our thoughts and prayers.
