Jane, Anne and John. I was so shocked and upset today to hear of the passing of John. We always looked forward to his "just in time" arrival at the Panthers game, and will miss him sitting next to us. He was such a nice man, and the games just won't be the same without him. Our prayers and thoughts are with you always.

Dear Jane and family, We were out of town this weekend when we heard about your loss. We prayed for you and so wished we could have attended the memorial service. Our memories of John are cherished ones, especially seeing him with George as he passed our house each day. His kindness and attention to our grandchildren when they were visiting was so appreciated and highlights of their visits (especially Abigail!). Know that we will continue to lift you up in prayer. With love, Margaret and Martin King

Dear Jane, Anne, John, Tommy & Marsha: I had the pleasure of working with John in his last few months when I asked for his help with a few Classroom Central initiatives. Despite the day-to-day uncertainty, despite the fatigue and pain, John worked diligently, and with characteristic enthusiasm, to help us. He was a kind and generous man with a depth of heart too great to measure. We will miss him every day. -- Janice Booth, Executive Director, Classroom Central

Dear Johnson Family,
My warmest sympathy for the loss of my friend and mentor. I have had such a wonderful job and life in Charlotte because of dear John who gave me a chance in life. I will certainly miss his guidance and friendship. We had some great times together and I will always remember his generous spirit and contagious laughter. May God bless you all.
Take care,
