Joe was in my home room at Providence. Each day he would walk into the room radiating energy, humor, and happiness. What a delightful young man he was. I moved out of state after his class graduated, so I was unaware of the accident. I can't even imagine how devastating it was after the accident. May God hold you close and comfort you. What a beautiful young man Joe was. I can't find the words to adequately express my sympathy.

Joe was a great teammate and friend. While he was a few years younger than me, I appreciated his confidence and competitive drive. We shared a lot of laughs and good times both on and off the field. I will always remember that. Whenever we all get together and share old baseball stories from Western, Joe's name inevitably comes up....a true testament to the kind of guy he was.

Once a Catamount, always a Catamount.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Mitcham Family.
