Shirley Rushing Obituary

Shirley Rushing, 77, went home to be with her Lord on May 8, 2017. She was born December 14, 1939 in Mecklenburg County and was the daughter of the late Annie Belle Haigler Rushing and Doll Rushing. She loved her Lord and worshiped Him as a member of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 1pm to 2pm at Heritage Funeral Home, Indian Trail Chapel. The funeral will immediately follow. Burial at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Barbara Helms; siblings, Leonard Rushing and Deborah Rushing Forbis; grandchildren, Jason Helms (Crystal) and Joe Helms (Tammy); great-grandchildren, Cameron, Curtis, Kevin and Breanna; many nephews and nieces.

Preceded in death by brothers, Floyd, Donnie, Louie and James "Dub' Rushing; sisters, Deloris McCall, Mary Catherine Rushing and Brenda Mullis.
