Sean McGrail

Age 20, of Plainfield passed away suddenly on May 14, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was a 2009 graduate of Drauden Point Middle School and a 2013 graduate of Plainfield South High School. He attended Benedictine University. Survived by his loving parents, Matthew T. and Maureen M. (nee O'Malley); three sisters, Shannon Starosta, Maggie (fiancee Pat Howard) and Mary; one brother, Jack; grandmother, Margaret McGrail; uncle of Matthew and Molly Starosta; Nephew of Cliff (Bobbie) McGrail, Marty (Vicki) McGrail, Margaret (Pete) Aparicio, Karen (Earl) Fitzner, Kathleen (Keith) Kobiernicki, Erin Johnson, Colleen (Jerry) Granato, Kerrie (Bob) McAvoy and Mary Susan O'Malley; many loving great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends also survive. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford McGrail, John "Duke" and Joan O'Malley and his uncle, Patrick O'Malley. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Presence St. Joseph Medical Center for the love, care and support shown to Sean's family during the past few weeks. The family will be praying for all the families of the individuals that will be receiving Sean's gift of life through his organ donations. Funeral Services for Sean Thornton McGrail will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery in Plainfield.
