Maria P. Alevras, nee Olymbios, 80 of Cary, IL. Born June 4, 1930 in Tyros, Greece. Mrs. Alevras passed away Oct. 13, 2010 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL. Wife of the late Panagiotis "Peter" A. Alevras; mother of Nicholas (Sylvia) Alevras, the late Anthony P. (Marilyn) Alevras; grandmother of Maria (Xin) Alevras-Chen, Peter A. Alevras, Peter N. Alevras, Andreas N. Alevras and Maria N. Alevras; greatgrandmother of Sophia A. Chen and Athena P. Chen; sister of Matina (the late Constandino) Psarras, Stratigoula (Ilias) Argeedy, Eleni (Gregori) Stavrianou, Ilias (Metaxia) Olymbios, Paminoda (Angeliki) Olymbios; also survived by many nieces and nephews; daughter of the late Nicholas and Fotini, nee Zarokosta, Olymbios. Visitation Sunday, Oct.17, 2010 at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home 201 N. Northwest Hwy Palatine, IL 4 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, 10 a.m., at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 133 South Roselle Rd., Palatine, IL.
