So sad to hear about Phil´s passing.
He was my very first friend in Scarsdale.
He was the best athlete and funniest guy
I ever knew. He was the school raccoon.
He always made me laugh. Shine on Phil .

I am so very, very sorry to hear the sad news!
Phil was always respectful to me, he treated me well, and always made me laugh. I also recall him calling me just seconds after I had left a nursing facility where my mom had not had a good day, and I didn't have good thoughts. When he asked how she was (always did), I broke out in tears. He not only consoled me, but also suggested I pull my car over so I didn't get into an accident while crying. When my mom passed away a few years later in 2011, he was one of the first to call, and kept calling to make sure I was okay.
Not too long ago, I called to see how he was doing. He was rushed, as he tended to be, but had time to tell me he was holding his own, but then added something that I will never forget. He said, "If we don't talk again, it was nice knowing you. You're a good man and you have a beautiful family." We said goodbye, and I couldn't help but cry.
I had prayed every night for him since he told me of his health issues. I will continue to pray each night, now for his soul.
Phil, I know you are with loved ones once again. And when you have a moment, please say hello to my mom - - you'll like her and enjoy spending time with her! Rest in Peace my friend! God bless you and your family! Until we meet again!

Phil, you lived a wonderful fun life and did more than most people. You are now reunited with your beloved Reese. We had many great times over the past 40+ years especially when our kids were young. Thanks for everything. You will be missed by many.
