Christopher L. Jackson

Christopher L. ''Kit'' Jackson, born in New York on April 8th, 1930, passed away suddenly on December 17, 2004. Kit attended the Adelphi Academy in Brooklyn, NY and Northwestern University, Illinois. He and his wife, ''Lynn'', of 40 years, raised their family in Lake Forest, IL and came to Tequesta, FL in 1986. Kit founded the Chemical-ways Corporation in 1969 with facilities in Lake Bluff, IL and Memphis, TN. Kit retired in 1991 and made his permanent residence in Tequesta, FL. He was a golfer and an avid bridge player and made many friends wherever he went. Kit was a member of the Jupiter Hills Club, The Tequesta Country Club, and had been a member of the Ivanhoe Club, Thorngate Country Club, and the Exmoor Country Club all in Illinois. Kit was President of Thorngate in 1972 and 1973. He is survived by his loving wife, ''Lynn''; and children, Deborah (Rex) Homer of Atlanta, GA, Cynthia (Bruce) Zimmerman of Maryland, Jorie (Joe) Schaeffer of Lake Bluff, IL and Molly Jackson of New York City. There are seven grandchildren and a brother, Daniel Jackson of San Francisco, CA. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center St., Jupiter, FL with Pastor George Ralph the officiant.
