Marciea L. Adkins, nee Tighe, 42 yrs., suddenly July 10, 2011, beloved wife of William J. (CFD); loving and devoted mother of Gillian; fond sister of Michael (Leslie), Margaret (Tony), Mary (Richard) Boyle, Maureen and Mark; dearest aunt of Kristopher and Lauren. Visitation at St. Josaphat Church, 2311 N. Southport Ave., Chicago, IL 60614 on Wednesday from 3 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. Dear Marciea and her family,
I am not sure if you will receive this email so late, but I just found out of Marciea's passing. I wasn't sure if I had the correct person, but when I read all the wonderful words and expression of love about her - I knew it was her. She was an inspiration and a source of strength in a dark night of the soul for so many people. She was a beacon of light shining for all to see. I shared a few years with her at Kendall College and she was truly an angel for all there in keeping the justice and care for all. I lost contact with her many years ago, but please please know - I will be saying prayers and offering Mass for her and her family, as this is so new to me. If anyone from her family would like to contact me, it would be such a blessing to hear about her family. God love Marciea, and she has the ultimate call center now - for Jesus. I was truly blessed to have known Marciea having worked with her at 911,not only because she was a knowledgeable dispatcher but one of the most caring,happy and self assured person I knew. Her self assurance ,smile and joy somehow always became a part of you. I was no more than 7 or 8 when I met "Marcy" as I called her (I had no teeth) she taught me how to play baseball,volleyball,climb a tree & to like myself for who I am.
