Ande, family and friends, our deepest sympathy goes out to you. I spent a fair amount of time with Mike participating in athletics at Glenbrook South. He had natural gifts he made better with hard work. I also spent some happy time with him at Northern Illinois U when he was a roommate of Steve Hansel. His smile could brighten the coldest DeKalb day. He will remain in my heart as an example of a good way to live life.

Dear Ande & family - Pam & I were greatly shocked & saddened upon hearing the news of Mike's passing. Words fail to properly convey the depth of our sympathy for you all. I am really glad that I had the chance to reconnect with Mike at the summer golf outings and to meet Ande as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Ande, Stan, and Kubis/Fleishman families:
My wife Jacqui joins me in offering our sincerest condolences on this most horrific and tragic loss that you will probably ever endure. Steve & I were saddened by the news of Mike's passing. We join with you and the family in our grief over a man who was taken from us way too soon. The only comfort I have is the knowledge that Mike will be welcomed by his brother, Bob, and all of our other relatives who have passed before him.
Our "Mikie" will be missed.

Dear Ande,Jason,Kelly & Family

It is so hard to find the words to express how saddened I am by Mike's passing. Without him my junior and senior years of high school would not have been nearly as memorable as they were. I have so many wonderful memories of him. He is one of the classmates I always looked most forward to seeing at reunions. He always made you feel like no time had passed at all and that he was still your dear friend. I know there are many others from GBS who feel the same way about him as I. What a wonderful gift that was! You were so blessed to have had him in your lives!(as were all of us that knew and loved him) The memory of him tugs at my heart but I will always remember him with a smile....

Dear Ande and family-

We were so saddened to hear of Mike's passing. We remember him as our son Brent's good friend in high school. It was a pleasure to have him at our home. He was always a gentleman. We will remember Mike and Brent shooting baskets on our driveway and sharing many laughs. Our sincere condolences to your family. Mike was a wonderful guy.

Ande, family & friends we share your sorrow in the loss of Mike who was a great friend for many of us who went to Glenbrook South. Fortunately my brother Craig & I have held a golf outing the last several years of which Mike attended. This event allowed us to share old stories & great memories. Dear Kubis Family,

Friendships that stand the test of time are truly a blessing, and that is what I considered Mike.

He always remained the same great guy I knew from our days at Glenbrook South. No matter how much time had passed between talks or visits, re-acquainting with him was effortless. I consider it a privilege to have been his friend.

His quick smile, easy laugh and large and loving heart will live on in the memories of all those who loved him. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
