COL. RICHARD LOUIS KLIEMANN

Colonel Richard Louis Kliemann, was born in Detroit, MI, June 24, 1931. Colonel was named Colonel Marquette who owned a shipping company that employed many in the clan. Colonel joined the Air Force at 16 years of age in 1948 and served stateside until 1952. Colonel married Geraldine Long in January 1952. Colonel and Geraldine started Dynamic Coatings, Inc. in 1989 and built it to a successful small business in Romeoville, IL. Colonel and Jeri's oldest daughter Kathleen died before her 25th. Their youngest daughter Dawn died leaving two children Kathleen Hannah and Colonel Michael. Geraldine and Colonel adopted the children and raised them. Colonel died Nov. 2, 2009. He leaves behind the two children; a wonderful fiancée, Betty Jo Clayton of Sterling, IL; a host of friends in business and Kiwanis club of Lisle. Colonel led a very active life in his last years. He had a ball. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave., Lisle, IL (on Rt. 53, 1/2 mile south of Ogden Ave. / Rt. 34) where memorial services will begin Saturday 10:30 a.m. and proceed to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for memorial Mass at 11:15 am. According to Colonel's wishes, his cremated remains will be buried at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL at a later date. To celebrate Colonel's life, visit www.mem.com.
