Clarence J. Swiontek, Jr., 86, of Niles, formerly of Edison Park. Marine Corps veteran. Beloved husband of the late Patricia J. Swiontek, nee Hurd who passed away Feb. 7, 2013 after 61 years of marriage. Guiding father of Tom (Johanna), Terry (Michael) Mascenic, Tim (Chris), Charlie (Donna), Leo (Demetra) and the late Tracy (Carol Nebehy) Swiontek. Proud grandfather of 13, great grandfather of 7. Dear brother of Syliva (Gene) Syfert, David, Michael, Odessa Swan, the late Thomas, Alice Spitek and James Swiontek. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Mr. Swiontek worked in the food and beverage industry. He served as a coach for Edison Park sports teams for more than 10 years. He appeared as an extra in over 20 films. Fifty-seven year member of the Saint Juliana Parish. Visitation Friday from 4 until 9 PM at the M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago. I have Clarence's Flag from his funeral. It is displayed on the top of my china cabinet. I can see it daily as a reminder of my brother. Friends ask about it, so he is called to mind often
