Charles Spaniol Obituary

Charles A. Spaniol, age 85, of Palatine, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was a proud U.S. Veteran serving his country in the Air Force. Upon his honorable discharge he served as a Captain for United Airlines, where he logged roughly 25,000 hours without incident. He is the beloved husband of the late Nancy L. nee Spencer; loving father of John (Paula) Spaniol, Helen (Peter) Bosse, Raymond Spaniol, Loretta (James) Hedges, Douglas (Anne) Spaniol and the late Janine; cherished grandfather of Rachel, Lauren, Brian, Daniel, Jackson, Mitchell, Emma and Evan; great-grandfather of Victoria and Lucy; Dear brother of Dr. John Spaniol, Joseph Spaniol, Jr., and Ellen Tillow; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday 3-9pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Funeral Saturday 10:45am from the funeral home to St. Theresa Church for Mass at 11:15am. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to National Parkinson Foundation www.parkinson.org. would be appreciated.
