Robert B. Simon, 89. Beloved husband of the late Charlotte (nee Tuber); treasured father of Sue (Eric) Borgman, Andrew Simon, and Julie (Robert) Samson; cherished grandfather of Zachary and Rachel Borgman and Jordan and Charlie Samson; dear brother of Joanne (the late Jerry) Levine. The family would like to thank Robert's devoted caregiver John Hernandez. Robert founded and ran Simon McClosky Ltd. and was a proud WWII Veteran. Memorial service Sun, 3 PM, at North Shore Congregation Israel, Perlman Sanctuary, 1185 Sheridan Rd, Glencoe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Shore Congregation Israel, www.nsci.org, or Lungevity, www.lungevity.org. For info: 847-256-5700.

Bob was a very dear friend of mine and I am sad to hear about his passing. I will always treasure his unwavering friendship and invaluable advice. He was the first true friend I made after moving to Chicago 32 years ago. I am very blessed to have known him. My condolences are with his family during this time.

Please accept my apologies on Bob's passing. As I remembered and admired Bob was a very kind and gentle man with very high moral and ethical standards. It was an honor to know and work him over the years.
