Phyllis Schmit, nee Hahn, age 78 of Lisle, IL passed away peacefully, Thursday, October 6, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born April 23, 1938 in Lancaster, WI. Cherished wife of the late Donald Schmit. Beloved mother of Dan (Dawn), Steve (Penny), and Rich (Shelly). Adored grandmother of Matthew, David, Chris, Jacob, Jeremy, Allison, and Marissa Schmit. Fond sister of Bernice (the late Carl) Muench, Dolores (Alan) Schwantes, the late Leo (the late June) Hahn and the late Irene (the late Harold) Bennett. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was a former active member of St. Joan of Arc Church of Lisle, where she served as a Eucharistic Minster and coordinator of the Adoration Chapel. She enjoyed bowling, golf and playing bridge.
