Walter Novak Obituary
Walter grew up in New Haven, Connecticut where he competed on the swim and diving team in high school, winning medals at numerous state events. He turned down a college scholarship to join the Navy where he proudly served his country on the aircraft carrier the USS Bataan in the Pacific during WWII. He returned home to get married and began working his way up to the position of a class A die maker in the paper box industry. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Beverly Hills, Florida. They became active members of Our Lady of Grace Church, and any club where he and Dottie could share their love of music, traveling, socializing, and dinner dances. Walt was an avid competitor who bowled, played golf, pool, tennis, and cards with his wife and many friends. He always kept his love of swimming, snorkeling, boating and his family.
Walter is survived his wife, Dorothy, currently living at the Health Center at Brentwood, their son David and daughter in law Joanne of Arlington, MA.
The family requests memorial donations to be made to your favorite charity.
Family and friends will gather at Fero Funeral Home 5955 N. Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, Fl. 34465 on Thursday October 13, 2016 from 3 to 5 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday October 14, 2016 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church 6 Roosevelt Blvd., at 10 a.m. Beverly Hills, Florida. Interment will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens, Beverly Hills. Arrangements are under the direction of Fero Funeral Home, Beverly Hills.

Sincerest condolences Dorothy, I just heard at mass this afternoon that Walt passed. You two were one of the first couples I met at Our Lady of Grace and always enjoyed chatting with you and Walt after mass or in the market, where we always ran into each other.
My prayers go out to Walt and you and your family Dorothy. May he rest in peace.
