He was predeceased by his natural parents, Marshall Dimick and Rose Snyder. Survivors include his loving companion of 14 years, Kelly Kefauver of Homosassa, FL; son Logan Dimick; 2 daughters, Megan Ledford and Alaura Ledford; father, Warren Weaver; mother, Barbara Weaver; 2 brothers, Marshall Dimick and Brian Dimick; and 2 sisters, Edna Ollis and Dorothy Irish.

A letter and tribute to the man who has been with me for the past 14 years:
Dave… we started out as friends and our love grew from there you were always there to listen to me when I needed to talk or even cry you would put those strong arms of yours around me and make it better. You were always a great father and friend no one will be able to fill your shoes. You were and still are the love of my life you will be in my heart forever and always. You had a very soft side that not very many people knew about but those closest to you got to see that side, and knew just what a good man you were and father. We miss you so very much, right now we are not sure how to go on without you but we know in our hearts you will always be there with us guiding us and watching over us. I have total confidence in GOD that one day I will see David again because JESUS was telling us about the many mansions in his Father's (GOD) house and by faith I know that one of those mansions are mine because I accepted CHRIST as my SAVIOR.
If David knew CHRIST as his SAVIOR while he was on this earth, you can be sure that he is more than happy now and will be for eternity.
My prayer is not for David as he does not need it, but my prayer is for my friends and family to get to know JESUS in this world so that we can all be with HIM in heaven for eternity.

The sweetion men is my dad. Dave Sott Dimick. He wood do enyting that thay needed to be done. That is what i call a true men. And a great boyfrend and father. He was a great beacker and sweet.He was strog men and a very very great techer of his 3 kids. And his 3 kids names are Megan A'laura and logan and his girlfrend name is kelly. he is are gerden anghel. We will oways miss him but we got to remamber the good things like when we what to do something as a family he wood try to do tt with us. He was a hardworking man and he wood give 100 percent. David was a special man,kind father, hard worker, strait up honest guy. If you were a friend he would do anything for you. If you worked with him you saw him give 100 percent. He had the funniest sense of humor and would always keep you smiling. When I worked with him, I was better for it. If you asked him to do something for you he would do it without a second thought for whats in it for him. Logan, your dad was someone to imitate. He was not scared to try anything. Kelly, Megan, a'laura, our thoughts, prayers, and love are with you and will always be. The Gill family will miss you David. You were truly one of a kind.

Dear Dave I will always remember you as being the daredevil when young like the time in Taftsville when you jumped off the porch into the mountain of snow and lost your boots til spring by then they didnt fit. We really enjoyed getting to know Kelly and the children when you lived up here a few years back and all the food you cooked as cooking runs in the family. I am happy that you are at peace and pain free up there with Mom & Dad and Grammies and everyone else are you organizing fishing trips. Oh god, where to start! Haha, well you may not be my birth father but honestly you were and always will be my father no matter what my birth certificate says. You know one thing I never thought I could do is look at a guy as a "father figure" in my life but the last 14 years with you being in my life has changed my opinion drastically. I’d say I became the biggest daddy's girl in the last few years, and I always will be. Wow, am I going to miss you. For a father you were the best and the coolest, no doubt about that. Even though I know it was your time and God took you away to be you’re our guardian angel, I still wish you were here to look back on all the memories we had together. You’ve been here for me through thick and thin. You’ve seen me at my best and you’ve seen me at my worst. We may have fought and argued and butted heads but in the end we got over it. I could never stay mad at you for long. Did I mention I love you? I think the hardest part of you being gone is that I had the chance to hug you goodbye, and I didn’t take it. I wish I had one more time to see your face and tell you I love you. But since I can't tell you in person I will make sure it's known to the world. Can't even begin to express my feelings on losing David....working down the dock with him, he was one heck of a guy....i haven't seen him since i've been laid off, but will always remember the fun we had and the good times....David was a special guy that i will always be glad to have known.
