Carol J. Rose

Carol J. Rose, 79, of Hernando, Florida, died on May 1, 2014, at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. Carol was born on June 18, 1934, in Dickenson County, Virginia, daughter of Steve and Emma Rose. She moved to Hernando in 1989 from Crossville, Tenn.
Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Bill Rose in 2010, her sister Sharon Gilbert and her brother, Fayne Rose. Survivors include her children Larry Rose of Ocala, Angela Miller and husband Dennis of Inverness, and Marcus Rose of Hernando; brothers Roger Rose of Bristol, Va., Scotty Rose of Clintwood, Va., and Kelly Rose of Clintwood, Va.; sisters Fern Wright of Richmond, Va., Ruth Payne of Cleveland, Tenn., and Betty Mullins of Radford, Va.; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Thomas and Jonathan Terry, Mellisa, David and Emma Rose and Selena and Eddie Sodenberg; and eight great-grandchildren, Felicity, Isaac, Zackery, Ethan, Micah, Analise, Kaden and Jackson Terry.
Mrs. Rose's family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014, at the Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the funeral home. The Rev. Jon Terry and Pastor David Lucas will preside. Interment will be on Monday, May 5, 2014, at Florida National Cemetery.
