On a whim, I googled Pat and Jerry Hagerty, and sadly came across this obituary. I know this is very late, but I too have many and very fond memories of your father. I took ballroom dance classes with him and Pat, twice: circa 1975 and from 1977 - 1980. Your father and Pat were very talented and had gathered together quite a gaggle of ballroom devotees. There were many dances, choreographed pieces for our core group, including an all-night dance-a-thon, ala 'they shoot horses don't they'. I especially remember the Christmas parties they would host at the house for their dancers, with plenty of food, song, and good cheer. Your father will always be fondly remembered.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew Jerry through the ballroom classes he was teaching years ago when I was at UC 40 years ago. He was a big influence in my life, and just yesterday I happened across a photo of him dancing with me at one of the functions way back then. I have and will always remember him fondly.

My wife and I took ballroom dance lessons from Pat and Jerry about 19 years ago, and when we were planning for our wedding Jerry gave us private lessons and helped us choreograph our wedding dance. My dad had mentioned Jerry was in the Cliff Lash orchestra but I did not know Jerry was so involved in early Cincinnati television. It was an honor to know him.

I doubt that you remember me, but Kim and I went to Indian Hill together. In fact, you and he rode on the same school bus as me. We also sat in the pew behind your family at Kenwood Baptist Church. I enjoyed seeing Michael in school productions, being entertained to hilarity by Kim's antics in class, and watching your dad on the Paul Dixon show for years. Imagine how excited I was to see you on the big screen, when your movie career kicked off - here in Las Vegas, where I now live. Point is, you and your family have brought so much to so many of us. I am sorry for your many losses over the years. May your heart heal in time over this latest one! Thinking of you!

Julie,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Father, especially so soon after losing sweet Kim. It was good seeing you at Kim's service, although I wish it had been under better circumstances. Find peace in the fact that your Father is now at peace and in no pain with other family members. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
