Justin Skoniecki Obituary
Born Nov. 1, 1998, he was the son of David and Wendy Skoniecki and brother of Tyler Skoniecki. A 2017 graduate of Greater Nanticoke Area, he attended classes at LCCC while pursuing a degree in computer science.
After graduation from high school, Justin had the wonderful opportunity to visit Peru.
Justin attained the rank of Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 418 of Nanticoke and remained in the troop as the junior assistant scoutmaster. For his Eagle Scout service project, he constructed bike racks for his high school and several parks in Nanticoke. He was also a firefighter for the Nanticoke City Fire Department, Pioneer Hook & Ladder.
Justin was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Kingston, where he served as an acolyte.
Justin was passionate in his ideology, loved animals and enjoyed being an outdoorsman. Justin dearly enjoyed the frequent get-togethers that resulted from his large loving family, and especially looked forward to trips to the beach. He was deeply empathetic and compassionate for those less fortunate than himself, and was not afraid to stand up for what he believed in. Despite his young age, his convictions were remarkable and left an impression on all.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Alfred and Lena Kobusky, Sheldon Youells and Michael and Dolores Veronick.
In addition to his parents and brother, Justin will be dearly missed by his grandparents, James and Helen Youells, Plymouth; and Donald and Marlene Ogin, Trucksville; and great-grandmother, Helen Youells, Plymouth. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunts and uncles, James Jr. and Susan Youells and Jonathan and Krista Youells, as well as his cousins, Rachelle, Lauren, James, Penelope, Alexis and Abraham, all of Forty Fort. He is also survived by numerous great-aunts, great-uncles and extended cousins. He was deeply loved by his cats and his dogs.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday in Grace Episcopal Church, 30 Butler St., Kingston, with the Rev. John F. Hartman officiating. Visitation for friends and family will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until the start of the service.
Memorial donations may be made to Boy Scout Troop 418, c/o Scoutmaster Matthew Matyas, 29 Austin Lane, Wapwallopen, PA 18660, or to Grace Episcopal Church, Kingston.
Arrangements are entrusted to S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.
