Bernadine Harenza Obituary
She was born in Nanticoke on March 14, 1928, and attended KM Smith to the sixth grade.
Bernadine was the daughter of the late John and Helen Janusz.
Bernadine "Bernie" was a devoted and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, cousin and a friend to everyone.
Bernadine lived in the family homestead and was employed by General Cigar prior to residing in Alden with her loving husband, Joseph, who passed away in 2001, and was a member of St. Faustina Parish.
Until last year, she found a new home at Smith's Healthcare in Mountain Top and our family would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the staff at Smith's.
She was known as Aunt B. to all the caregivers at FMS, Nanticoke, and the family would like to thank everyone for the years of special care that was given to Bernie.
She will be truly missed by all.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, by several brothers and sisters.
Presently surviving are her sons, Joseph and his wife, Lisa, and Paul and his wife, Michelle, and a loving grandson, Joshua.
The funeral for Bernadine will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday from Grontkowski Funeral Home P.C., 51 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at noon celebrated by the Rev. James Nash in St. Faustina Church, 520 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke.
Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Glen Lyon.
Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for calling hours that will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time; Cioci Bennie will be forever in our hearts. We will always remember her and our mom sitting under the grapevine most summer days, she will be missed. Love to all.
