Elizabeth Shultz Obituary

Elizabeth A. Shultz Elizabeth A. Shultz, 104, of Topeka passed away at Aldersgate Village on Tuesday evening, March 22, 2011. She was born January 8, 1907 in Topeka the daughter of Homer E. and Mary C. (Hutson) Allison. She lived all her life in Topeka. She attended State Street Elementary School, and Oakland High School. She was a nurse for many years. Elizabeth was a longtime member of Oakland United Methodist Church. At the church she was a member of the church choir and past president of the United Methodist Women. She had also served as Past President of the residence council at the United Methodist Home where she lived beginning in 1978. She was married to Roy F. LaCrone on June 5, 1926 in Topeka, they later divorced. She married J. Dewey Shultz on September 6, 1967. He preceded her in death in 1977. Survivors include her son, Richard LaCrone of Topeka; daughter, Beverly Jean Locke of Topeka; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Shultz was preceded in death by her son, Wesley A. LaCrone; one brother, George and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am of Friday, March 25 at Davidson Funeral Home. Mrs. Shultz will lie in state after 3:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Aldersgate Village and left in care of the funeral home. I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Elizabeth at Aldersgate and I always loved visiting with her, and hearing her play the piano in the dining room. She was a very special lady and she will be missed.
