Florence J.M. LaCrone

Florence J.M. LaCrone, age 78, of Topeka passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 at her home in Topeka. She was born September 11, 1930 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Albert Grabowski and Gertrude Reich Grabowski. She grew up in Decatur, graduating from Decatur High School in 1948. She then graduated from St. Lukes Nursing School in 1951. She worked as an RN for Topeka State Hospital for over 15 years. She married Richard Dick LaCrone July 19, 1956 in Holton. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, LCMS . She was baptized September 28, 1930 and confirmed April 2, 1944 in Decatur. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruelle LaCrone August 12, 1999. She is survived by her husband of over 53 years, Richard LaCrone of Topeka; three sons, Philip (Sue) and Jeff (Alda) LaCrone both of Topeka; Jim (Joann) LaCrone of Hoyt; a daughter, Renelda (Chuck) Connell of Hoyt; a brother, Edwin Grabowski of Decatur, IL; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at the Calvary Lutheran Church. She will lie in state Monday from noon 9:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home with family visitation from 7:00 8:30 p.m. Interment will be at the West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
