Jackson
Fred Allen Levins, 84, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at his home in Jackson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9 at Lakewood Funeral Home on Clinton Blvd. from 4:00-7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at Magee City Cemetery on Wednesday at 2:00 PM.
Mr. Levins was born in Titus, Alabama on July 8, 1930 to the late Loyd Rawls and Irene Wood Levins. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Lee Levins; sons, Allen Loyd Levins (Pam) and Michael David Levins (Debi); daughters, Janet Ann Williams (Steve) and Theresa Levins Hicks (Dan); brother, Joe Levins (Shirley); grandchildren, Nicki Riley, Shayna Victoria Williams, Daniel Ray Hicks, III, Matthew Skyler Hicks; great grandchildren, Brayden Christian Riley and McKinley Paige.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Mississippi Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org/ms or the Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org

To the Levins family. My father (William B. Powell-deceased 10-11-2013) served with Mr. Levins in the Korean War. He was from Wetumpka & lived in Millbrook. Dad talked about a Fred Levins that lived here in MS when I moved from AL here. My condolences I send to you & your family. Also may The Lord watch over you during this time of grief.
