Frank was born in West Point, MS and lived in Carthage since 1966. He was a graduate of Carthage High School, Mississippi State University and the Louisiana State University School of Banking. He retired in 2015 as President of Trustmark Bank Carthage after over 40 years in the banking industry. Frank was a long time contributor to Leake County and the Carthage community. His many contributions and services included President of the Carthage Rotary Club, President of the Leake County Chamber of Commerce, President of the Leake County Industrial Board and was a former Leake County Man of the Year. Frank's most rewarding accomplishment was being instrumental in the development and building of Baptist Medical Center-Leake. Frank was also very active in the Mississippi Bankers Association serving as former president of the Mississippi Young Bankers as well as serving on the Association's Board of Directors. Frank was a long time faithful member of First Baptist Carthage serving as a deacon and Sunday school teacher.

Frank had a host of hobbies and loves including Mississippi State Athletics, the Neshoba County Fair and playing golf with his two sons and grandson. Frank had a zest for the Lord, his family and living life to the fullest. He imparted many "Frank-isms" to all those he loved the most important of which was to put God first, Family second and your job third. "You get that right and you will always make good decisions."

After an almost 17 year cancer battle, Frank wanted everyone to know the experiences and relationships developed while fighting this disease led him to opportunities and blessings he otherwise would not have had.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Franklin Rhea, Sr.

and sister, Vickie Rhea Sanders. He is survived by his mother, Mary Helen Rhea, his wife of almost 44 years, Linda Rhea, his sons Andrew Rhea (Cayce), Jon Paul Rhea (Mary Stewart), his brother Alan Rhea

(Terri) and two grandchildren Mitchell and Liza Jane Rhea along with many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank all of Frank's doctors, nurses and caregivers over the years. Their treatment, support and friendship enriched not only Frank's life but those of his family. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Baptist Health Foundation-Leake County or a charity of your choice.

Frank and I grew up as neighbors in West Point. We had a chance to visit when we would run into each other at a few athletics events over the years. So sorry to hear about the loss, my prayers will be with you! Curtis Middleton
