Darrell Leon Crook

Darrell Leon Crook, age 66 of Farwell, TX, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2011, in Farwell, TX. Darrell was born May 4, 1945, in Clovis, NM to Howard Crook and Linnie Mae Donoho. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a longtime Farwell resident and moved back to Farwell from the Dallas area after his retirement. He retired as an electrician from Whiteco Sign Company after many years. He enjoyed photography and cooking. He enjoyed the activities and spending time at the Senior Citizen's Center in Farwell. He was a member of Hamlin Memorial Methodist Church and Crime Stoppers.
He is survived by three sisters, Eurith Marie Jones and her husband Orville Dean of Mesquite, TX, Gari Lynn Worley of Point Pleasant, WV, Jaquetta Walterscheid of Carlsbad, NM; one brother Randy Crook and his wife Robin of Broken Arrow, OK; seven nieces and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Linnie Mae Crook, and one sister Stella Murlene Smith.
Services are scheduled Monday, December 19, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. CST at Hamlin Memorial United Methodist Church in Farwell, TX with Rev. Keith Niehaus, officiating and Randy Crook, assisting. Burial will follow at the Sunset Terrace Cemetery in Farwell, TX. Honorary Casket Bearers will be his nieces and nephews, Tammey Marsh, Terri Baker, Truitt Smith, Deanna Sprouse, Shawn Smith, Megan Mentzel, Dean Jones, Erica Mosbey, Tonia Worley, Aaron Walterschied, and Corby Walterscheid.
