Nadine Hicks Obituary
Germantown, TN
Nadine Belk Shannon Hicks died February 11, 2016. She graduated from Messick High School and University of Memphis and taught at Christine, Messick and Sherwood Elementary Schools. Mrs. Hicks was a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church, Oakville Eastern Star, Alpha Sigma Delta Kappa Gamma, McWherter Bridge Group, a former Rainbow Worthy Advisor, Girl Scout and Girl Scout leader. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ora Gray Brinkmann and husbands Thomas Shannon and Cecil Hicks. Mrs. Hicks is survived by daughters Nancy McPherson and Janet Brown (Dan); grandsons, Thomas McPherson, Michael McPherson, and Dan Brown, Jr. (Jill); great-grandchildren, Maddox McPherson and Emma Brown; stepson, Mark Hicks and several step grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:00 pm Tuesday, February 16 and funeral services will be at 1:00 Wednesday, February 17 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to St. Luke's Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
