Dr. Adkins was a wonderful physician. While I was in medical school he along with Dr. Maury delivered our twins which at the time were the largest twins ever born at Baptist Hospital. He was then a mentor for me during my residency years in Obstetrics/Gynecology. We saw him a couple years ago and seeing my wife he ask, "how are the twins". She had not seen him in years but this memory certainly pleased her. We loved and respected him very much..

Dearest Mrs. Adkins,
Please accept my sincere and heartfelt condolences in the Homegoing of your dearly beloved husband and my friend and former doctor, Dr. Henry Adkins, for I am praying for God's comfort and peace to guide you during this time of sorrow. I shall forever count it a wonderful pleasure to have known Dr. Adkins and to have had this wonderfully brilliant man as my medical doctor.
The memory of Dr. Adkins, including the many private conversations with him before and during his retirement, will always remain in my heart and mind and I will forever cherish the years he was my doctor.
God's special blessings to the family of the late Dr. Henry L. Adkins.
Much love,
Your friend forever,
