DANIEL TAYLOR MESSINGER

Daniel Taylor Messinger of Memphis was called home to the Lord on April 5, 2015. Dan was born in Houma, LA on July 28, 1977. He was employed by the Education Department and was an adjunct professor of Christian Brothers University (CBU). He graduated from CBU with a degree in Marketing. He also achieved an MBA from CBU and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Tennessee. He was a proud member of the Pi Epsilon chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Dan was preceded in death by his grandparents: Frank D. Messinger, Mr. and Mrs. G.V. Elkins, Jr., and Mr. Hamilton C. Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie S. Messinger and his daughter, Evelyn K. Messinger. He is survived by his grandmother, Letty Thoman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, his parents, Stanley F. Messinger and Ann B. Messinger of Lafayette, LA, and Glen C. Kinard and Janis M. Kinard of Pensacola, FL. He is also survived by stepbrother Kristopher Kinard of Denton, TX. Dan is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. His love for life was infectious and he never met a stranger. He will be missed. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Canale Funeral Directors. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A reception will follow.
