SUSAN BOOKOUT Obituary

Susan Bookout Apr. 5, 1946 - Mar. 13, 2012 Resident of Bay Point Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and true friend. You will be missed by every heart you have touched during your life here. Retired from USS Posco where she worked 33 years. Named US Steel when she was hired, she was the first female nail operator in the United States in the 1970's. Susan is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Donald Bookout. Susan is also survived by her daughter Lisa Beard, son-in-law Brian Beard, sons Jeff Bookout and Erik Bookout, grandchildren Brian Beard II, Amber Beard, Kristen & Miguel Garcia, Breonna Bookout, Bradley Bookout, Brandon Bookout and Cody Bookout, great grandchildren Moriah Garcia and Elisha Garcia, sister Marlene Lessley. She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Signe Conley. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, March 20th at 12:00pm at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Donations can be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
