John E. Gauntt, age 90, of Marlton passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Long-time resident of Moorestown, NJ, he was a professional land surveyor and owner of John E. Gauntt Associates, Inc., Moorestown, NJ.

In recognition of his outstanding service to the profession of land surveying, he received the William T. Murray Lifetime Achievement Award by the New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors in 2014 and was recognized as an honored member of The Heritage Registry of Who's Who for Executives and Professionals 2013-2014. John was an avid farmer/gardener and enjoyed hunting, golf, and spending time with his family.

Beloved husband of Genevieve Gauntt (nee Murphy) (deceased) and Elaine Gauntt (nee Sacalis). Loving father of Diane Welsh (Michael F., deceased) and Barbara Pedrick (Mark). Loving grandfather of Devon and Jenna Pedrick, Michael and John Welsh, the late Kristen Welsh, and great grandfather of Jace Noll. Also survived by his mother-in-law Diane Sacalis, brothers-in-law George and Steve Sacalis and sister-in-law Mary Sacalis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon immediately followed by his funeral service all at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ 08077. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 300 White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ.
