Paul 'Norman' Hagan
Evansville, Ind.
Paul "Norman" Hagan, 86, of Evansville passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013, at his home. He was born October 3, 1926, in Waverly, Ky.
Norman served in the US Army as a Paratrooper during WWII. He received his Bachelors of Engineering from Evansville College (now University of Evansville). After 35 years he retired as owner and operator of Hagan Appliance Service in 1991. Norman was a charter member of Nativity Catholic Church where he received the Bruté Award, was a Eucharistic Minister, and was very active in all other aspects of the church. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus. He was a man of strong faith, family and friends. Norman enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, and playing cards.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Anna Mae (Davis) Hagan; brother, Thomas Hagan and sister, Barbara Marlin.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary "Sue" (Russell); sons, Dennis Hagan (Linda), of Jasper, Ind., Richard Hagan (Susan), Thomas Lee Hagan (Kimberly), all of Evansville, Ind., and Russell Wayne Hagan (Anita), of Boonville; daughters, Karen Sue Michel (Rodney), Debra Lynn Linberg (Daniel), all of Evansville, Ind., and Laura Jane Parsons (Mike), of Georgetown, Canada; 19 grandchildren, Chris, Jeff, Scott, Mike, Mark, Brandon and Brian Hagan, Matt Michel, Krystal Smith, Kelly Michel, Paul, Alex and Andrea Linberg, Rusty and Andrew Parsons, Stephanie Leone, Beau Winiger, Brooke Skipper and Grace Winiger; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Stanley and Fred Hagan; sister, Della Marlin; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 with a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at Nativity Catholic Church, 3635 Pollack Ave., Evansville, IN 47714.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday June 6, 2013 at the church with Fr. Henry Kuykendall and Fr. Joe Ziliak officiating.
Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Nativity Catholic Church, 3635 Pollack Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 or a favorite charity.

Sue and the Hagan family,
I am sorry to hear of Norm's passing. He and lyle were great mentors to me as a teenager working there at hagan's I learned a great deal from Norm and respected him for his faith and ethics. He's with the Lord today may he rest in peace.
