Marian Gant Obituary
Evansville, Ind.
Marian Gant, 90, of Evansville, passed away at 10:46 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015, at her home.
Marian was born September 12, 1924, in Bowling Green, Kentucky the daughter of the late Thomas and Myrle (Flowers) Hagan and was a 1943 graduate of Bowling Green High School. She worked on the assembly line at GE for many years. Marian was active in the PTA for Stringtown and Highland Elementary Schools and North and Central High Schools.
She was a 65 year member of Central United Methodist Church. Marian was active in her church and a member of the US Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Kennel Club and Bridge Club in Evansville.
She is survived by daughter, Nancy Frazier (Jim), of Evansville; son, Tom Gant (Cheri), of Evansville; grandchildren, Jamie Meyerholtz (Eric), Ryan Frazier (Abbey), Bradley Gant (Jennifer) and Brooklyn Barrett (Zach); and great-grandchildren, Madison and Kamryn Meyerholtz and Hayden, Hudson and Hadley Frazier.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 68 years, Carlen Gant on February 2, 2015; and her sister, Hazel Christian.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Maqbool Ahmed and Deaconess Hospice for their care and kindness.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2015, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel -A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Pastor Kevin Reed officiating. Private Interment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, Evansville.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Monday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 300 Mary St., Evansville, IN 47710 or to your favorite charity.

Dear Nancy, I am very sorry to read of the passing of your Mother. She was a lovely person, always enjoyed talking to her. Your Dad was certainly a kind soul, too. The U.S. Class is almost gone, but what a wonderful group of people they were! Great memories. My deepest sympathy to you and Tom.
